What better way to experience a culture than through its cuisine? Learn how to cook and bake the German way. These are demonstration classes, so please feel free to take photos and notes. The USO supplies all the ingredients, recipes and handouts. You just need to bring your appetite! No children under 12 permitted and participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
In this special morning class we are repeating some of our most popular recipes just for you! Learn how to make one of the favorite specialties of our region in our three-hour flammkuchen class. Originating in the nearby Alsatian region of France, there are endless variations of this delicious treat. You will be sure to wow your family or guests at your next get-together.
Class includes ingredients, printouts of recipes and other valuable information,USO instructor.
Limitations for Enrollment:
Each patron may take a maximum of the following free programs within each calendar year:
- Two (2) Trips (by bus or by train)*
- Three (3) classes (all other events) *Note: The Kaiserslautern Orientation will not count as either a trip or a class
We have established a special Standby List for those who have taken their maximum allotted trips or classes for the year. If you wish to sign up for an additional trip or class beyond your maximum, you can sign up on this Standby List. If there are any available seats for the event starting 48 hours prior to the event, we will notify you and allow you to participate.
